also? two things upon re-reading today:
1. i want this fandom to be called "glitterbabies" FOREVER. none of the portmanteux are catchy, but that is the BEST word ever.
2. i loved the velvet goldmine exchange! on a recent re-watch, it occurred to me that bb adam most likely identified with ARTHUR, right? and then proceeded to successfully TURN HIMSELF INTO BRIAN SLADE. it's magical, really.
